With everything going on in the world today, it can be all too easy to assume that life is supposed to be difficult. We all have challenges that stretch us to our max, take us outside our comfort zone, and call us to truly live the life our soul knows we are capable of living. Unfortunately, most people simply settle for the struggle instead of leaning into the expansion of their purpose.
If you find yourself settling for struggle, then it’s time for you to implement these seven secrets so you can begin living the life your soul intended. I promise, your soul will be thankful you did.
1. Listen to the call of your soul.
In order to live the life your soul craves you must first know what it is that you desire. Whether you realize it or not, your soul truly wants you to be happy and it’s likely been calling to you in various ways to finally listen and act on your core desires. Maybe you desire more adventure and freedom or connection and purpose in your life. The key here is to give your soul a voice and listen to the whispers you hear coming from within. When you do that, you not only have far more direction for your life than you did before, but you also will find synchronicities happening left and right that allow you to act on the desires of your soul.
2. Leap now, think later.
Living from the soul is often not a logical process and it certainly doesn’t operate using formulas, statistics, and checklists. As such, you must be willing to do the things that others might call crazy. Be willing to take risks, follow your heart instead of your head, and act on inspiration versus logic. Your soul likes speed, so when you feel inspired, take the leap, follow the momentum, and trust that everything is unfolding exactly as it should. The energy and momentum of your actions are everything, so trust them always.
3. Trust your inner wisdom.
Despite what you might believe, you came into this world equipped with an incredible wealth of wisdom and knowledge and it is more powerful than you know. Trust it. You will have brilliant ideas, amazing thoughts, and incredible insights about how to move forward on your path, and you must trust these divine downloads and treat them as the gift that they are. Remember, the Universe always has your back and is consistently conspiring on your behalf. Your job is to trust that wisdom and act on it. Aside from your thoughts, your intuition is one of the most powerful tools that you have. Use it wisely.
4. Permission to be happy? Granted.
Who said you had to settle for a life that doesn’t excite you when your soul desires so much more? Give yourself permission to do the things that bring you joy starting right now! Life is an amazing gift to be experienced and enjoyed and it doesn’t matter what you’ve done or where you’ve been. You have this very moment to make life what you want, but first you must be willing to give yourself permission to experience a life that feels less like surviving and more like thriving.
5. Know that you are worthy.
Far too many of us have this tricky belief that tells us we must first do something in order to be worthy of all the abundance, joy, and love we wish to experience in the world. Our soul on the other hand knows this to be a pure and simple lie (and frankly some distorted human creation). Your soul knows you are worthy, simply by being who you really are and there is nothing you can do to change that. In fact, the only prerequisite for being worthy is to be alive… that’s it. Know that to be true in every area of your life and it will make your journey much easier (and more enjoyable).
6. Let go of the how.
As logical planners we often jump from ‘What do I want?’ to ‘How do I make it happen?’ in the blink of an eye. The truth is, you don’t have to know exactly how your desires will take shape, your soul already knows that. Your job is to simply trust, keep the faith, and take inspired action. When you let go of the worry over how your desires will manifest, you welcome in an amazing universal force that delivers just what you need in just the right time as if by magic. Trust the process and your ability to know exactly when to take action. When you do that, the pieces fall into place almost effortlessly.
7. Always trust the process.
There will be moments when things feel like they aren’t quite working out for you and when you may question your entire path. These are the moments when you must trust the process and listen to your intuition the most. As human beings, we all have lessons to learn in order to expand into who we are meant to become and it may not always make sense. When this happens you can call on your spiritual mentors, teachers, and guides to support you.
You will also have some truly amazing experiences that light you up and set your soul on fire, and during those moments you will know the true value of following the call of your soul. Remember the good times and allow them to be the fuel that keeps you going when things feel a bit rough. Trust that it’s all part of a divine plan and in the end you will be grateful for all of the experiences along the way.
