May I suggest you not look for fast-life transformation and instead focus on one day at a time, being your best and giving your best, in order to get yourself out of the rut you seem to be in?
Constantly comparing your dreamed of life to where you are now only highlights the disparity and distance, making you feel depressed and undoing the good you have going for you!
Your dreams are closer than you think, but a watched pot never boils…
Here are 6 ways to get out of a rut if you ever find yourself in one:
1. Above all else, get busy.
Take dance lessons. Book a trip. Visit an old friend. Get out more. Take up a sport or hobby. Go! Life is happening all around you, and the busier you are (within reason) the faster the Universe can reach you.
2. Don’t label yourself or the process negatively.
Watch and listen to yourself and put on the brakes whenever you want to lament. In addition, start enjoying and living your dreams to whatever meager extent you can today, so that slowly, the snowball effect can take place.
3. Learn to be your own greatest source of comfort.
Love who you are, with your unique world perspective that no one else has, with your unique accomplishments that no one else has achieved. Your accomplishments may not equate to blue ribbons or gold trophies, but from where you came from, you’ve achieved more than you’ve given yourself credit for. It’s time to start appreciating your own amazing triumphs and successes.
4. Help others who are less fortunate.
First of all, realize that you chose this life AND THE CHALLENGES you are now facing. You knew what you were doing. It doesn’t matter that you don’t recall this. You must not feel sorry for yourself. Instead, feel sorry for the people who only dream of having a place in the world such as you have created. Go and help them. In the shelters, jails, and rehabilitation centers. You need only to spend some time with people far less fortunate, though more hopeful than yourself, for a total life adjustment. You have so much to offer, especially to the lonely.
5. Start a gratitude journal.
Develop a habit of focusing on what is right. Every night before you go to bed, write down 10 things that you are grateful for.
6. Spend time with like-minded people.
Surround yourself with people who will lift you up, challenge you, and help propel you forward. There has been nothing more instrumental to my success than being with other like-minded people. It doesn’t matter if you’re spending time with them in person, on the phone, or even online. Find a community that inspires you and will encourage you when you need it most.
You were born to thrive. You were born for success. You were born to be happy. It doesn’t matter where you’ve been, what you’ve done, or where you are. Where you are is never who you are. You are infinitely more. The sky is the limit. You deserve it all and YOU ARE WORTHY.
I want to help you fearlessly love the life you have as you create the life you want. In my new Infinite Possibilities Membership, you’ll be celebrated, guided, coached and mentored by me and a strong community of like-minded people from around the world.
