Welcome to your elemental connection meditation. It’s time to tap into the four elements around us to find the connection within us.
Get yourself comfortable, lie down, and support your neck and your back, opening space for your belly. Today, we will be breathing into the belly, palms up—open to receive. As you breathe, I encourage you to let anything that comes up come. And then let it go.
Throughout this meditation, we will be doing deep somatic breathing, breath of fire (which are just shorter breaths to stimulate the immune system), and grounding breath holds.
Close your eyes and drop into your body. Set the intention of connecting yourself with earth, air, fire, and water.
Deep breath in, finding your space. Breathe all the way out. Deep breath in, connecting to yourself. Let it all out. And one more deep breath in—holding it at the top for just a moment and releasing it all the way out.
Take a moment to feel where you are seated or lying down. Feel the support beneath you, the ground, the fabric, the earth, or the floor—just feel it holding you. You are safe here.
Focus now on your Earth Star Chakra located at your feet. It’s responsible for connecting us to earth’s energy field. It is brown, like the earth, and represents earth’s energy and stability. This chakra represents your grounded, inner peace and connection to Mother Gaia.
For a moment, just send your intention to this area and imagine a connection of energy from you to the earth. Imagine roots flowing from your Earth Star Chakra right down into the earth, into its core, holding strong and vibrating off the earth’s energy—the earth’s heartbeat.
Breathe into this feeling. Ground yourself. Connect.
Feel the air around you as you breathe. Feel the air as it moves in and out of your lungs. Set your intention on connection with air for just a moment. Is it cool? Is it warm? Is it flowing?
Focus on regulating your breath, slow down. Breathe with intention and feel the air. Welcome the air. With every breath, you are cleansing, clearing, and inviting new energy in.
This air is beautiful and clear like a blue sky. Hold on to that feeling of fresh laundry in the wind, warm cookies in the oven, and the smell of memories. Just lean into the air around you and sit with it. It is a part of your energy field.
Breathe into this feeling. Be light like air.
And now, we are ready to ignite! Let’s burn what is no longer serving us, together.
Imagine you are standing in front of a bountiful fire. You are barefoot in the woods, alone with yourself. You are wild and carefree. You stand in front of this fire with a beautiful glow, a light of protective energy. Your feet are rooted to the earth, connecting to Mother Gaia.
You pull every answer to those questions, every piece of emotion, every feeling that has been sitting with you for years—and you throw it into the fire. Your eyes blaze as you watch them burn, feeling the weight being lifted off you. Each time you throw another emotion into the fire, you feel more and more free.
Let’s begin the breath of fire. Short exhales out of the belly. Don’t worry about the inhale, just breathe out, and don’t worry about the rhythm. You are the flame. You are the fire. Just breathe like this for a while.
Congratulations, you just walked through fire! Breathe into this feeling. Be like fire—powerful, fierce, unstoppable.
Now we breathe into the beauty and fluidity of water.
I was once told our breath is like the waves of the ocean and if you listen as you breathe, you will hear the healing powers of the sea. Tune in to the breath now, imagine the ocean in your mind’s eye, and center yourself—breathing deeply. Breathe in, waves come up, breathe out, waves go out.
Let’s be like waves, breathing and flowing with what is. Breathe into this feeling. Be like water.
One last grounding, deep breath in and congratulate yourself. You have just made space using the four elements. Your intuition is strong now and you should have some clarity. Journal it out. Thank you for investing in your health. Remember, we are all in this together; when you heal yourself, you heal the collective.
