The purpose of life has now been established – it’s to have a good time. If you’re not having a good time, why not? You are creating your life anew every morning. If you have a job you hate, quit it. Find something else. If you’re in a relationship that makes you miserable, end it. Remember: You’re not here for a long time, you’re here for a good time.
Many people that I’ve counseled through the years ask me about past lives, karma, and reincarnation. They are so obsessed with who they were (or might have been) they forget to concentrate on who they are NOW. Well, who you are now and what you do with THIS life is what counts in the next incarnation – no matter where that is. You could decide to stay in spirit, travel to another planet or galaxy, or come back to what I refer to as the “Planet of the Apes”. As author Michael Reccia states, the thing to remember is to NEVER come back here. There are loads of better ways to use your recycled soul energy, and better places to traverse.
I actually prefer seeing a future life to a past one. It assures you that life does indeed continue and doesn’t have to be a “payback” for “bad” deeds. You see, good and bad are judgment calls. What is good in one society, culture, religion, or nation may not be considered “good” in another.
Remember, this illusion is created on opposites. Someone has to wear the white hat and someone the black hat in order for either to exist. It’s all a game, and you pick your avatar to be here in it long before you arrive through the birth canal. Then it’s a matter of staying on the course you laid out for yourself in order to achieve what your soul desired to achieve before buying the ticket to ride Disneyland Earth.
For whatever reason, people choose to come back to this planet over and over again. Some say they had unfinished business, some think they had a debt to pay, and some just miss being in a body. The movie “K-Pax” with Kevin Spacey has a great line. Spacey plays a character from another world, but no one believes him. There’s a scene with him in a mental hospital, speaking to his shrink. The shrink asks him why he came to Earth, clearly trying to humor him. Kevin’s character takes a banana from his desk and eats it, skin and all, saying “heck, it’s worth the trip just for the produce.” That could be reason enough for reincarnation – a good piece of fruit.
We live on a planet that offers the game blame. People like to blame their bad choices and lives on others, or on bad karma. Well, if you have bad karma, that means your previous lifetimes here weren’t all that spectacular. Although many want to claim they were famous people in the past (you’d be surprised at how many claim to be Cleopatra or Mark Antony) those people were probably just criminals, or had a bad lifestyle and now try to either emulate that in even bigger ways or atone for it.
Stop the blame game, and take responsibility for your life.
Remember, it’s all a dream, and when you wake up here every day after restarting your body computer you are free to create whomever and whatever you’d like. It needn’t be “Groundhog Day” unless you choose it.
It is possible to bring back talents and habits from past lives here. Everything lives on in your cellular DNA and memory. Sometimes that helps you figure out what you’re good at and what you’re not good at. However, think about going forward and projecting into your next life for real hope instead of the “blame game” of your past controlling your present lifetime. It’s called the present because that’s what it is – a gift. Another chance to re-create yourself in physical form. A whole new avatar in a whole new game.
