As a Conscious Creator, how many times have you heard yourself saying:
“Why isn’t this working for me? I ask, I visualize, I take action, and yet what I want still eludes me!”
The truth of the matter is that action is only part of the story.
If action was all it took, everyone would have what they desire!
Leveraging the Law of Attraction is an Inner Game more than anything else. It’s about learning to shift your beliefs, your mindset, and to develop a Goddess Attitude (or Adonis Attitude for our enlightened men).
So just what does it mean to develop a Goddess/Adonis attitude?
The Goddess/Adonis attitude is the realization that you are Divine, and as a Divine Being you are worthy of all that you desire to create in your life. It’s developing this knowing down to your very core that you are worthy, you deserve everything you desire, and you have value as a soul incarnate on this planet!
Developing the Goddess/Adonis attitude brings me a tremendous amount of joy when working with clients. Why? Because doing so enables you to truly accept and embrace the Divine within. You begin to fully understand what it means to live your life as a “blended being” — a person who embraces their divinity and lives in tandem with it (not hiding from it). You become the light you came here to be and you give everyone in your sphere of influence permission to shine their light as well.
Sounds delicious, doesn’t it?
So how do you develop this Goddess/Adonis attitude?
Before you do anything else, you must make the decision to embrace your Divinity. You must choose to live your life as the blended being and co-creator of your own experience. You have to be willing to assume responsibility for everything in your life and refuse to play the victim or the “blame game.” Once you make this empowering decision, then you begin to shift key areas of your life so that everything supports this awesome, empowered way of thinking and being.
Here are 3 ways to start:
1. “Goddess-ize” your environment.
Your environment either uplifts you or diminishes you. What’s your personal style? Do your surroundings reflect your personal style? Clutter has a tendency to accumulate and it can take a major toll on your energy. It sneaks up on you no matter how diligent you tend to be at keeping it at bay. How often do you “clean the clutter” house? Make a promise to yourself to release the stuff you no longer use. There is no steadfast rule to this either. One school of thought is that if you didn’t use it within the last year, let it go. The bottom line is that it doesn’t matter the timeframe you choose. What matters is making the choice to release what no longer serves you.
Your environment has a huge impact on how you feel about yourself. Creating an environment that uplifts and empowers you doesn’t have to be a tremendous undertaking. It can simply be a matter of adding a few things that put a smile on your face. Perhaps a fresh coat of paint can spruce up your environment. Surrounding yourself with beauty and luxury doesn’t have to be expensive. I love fresh flowers and I have decided that it’s paramount for me to have flowers in my environment. I treat myself to six roses at the grocery store for less than $10! A little bit of self-care in this way will have a BIG impact on your self-esteem.
2. “Goddess-ize” your self-talk.
What do you say to yourself all day, every day? Most women spend their thoughts criticizing, judging, comparing, and worrying. This negative self-talk is NOT indicative of a Goddess attitude. It’s time to honor the Goddess you are and speak as a Goddess.
Here’s an exercise to help you discover some of the self-sabotaging messages of which you may not even be aware. One day this week, set an intention to notice what goes on in your head throughout the day, and jot down notes along the way. No judgments, just observations. Pay attention to the disempowering thoughts and beliefs that arise again and again. For example, “I can’t afford it” or “I don’t deserve this” or any version of “not enough.” Pick ONE message to shift, starting right now. You don’t have to make a huge leap. You can begin by saying something like, “I am willing to consider that I am worthy.” Doing this will provide an immediate energetic shift.
3. “Goddess-ize” how you handle your creations.
Be willing to look deeply at your beliefs about the things you wish to manifest. When you don’t get what you want, it is simply an indication that you are not yet an energetic match with what you desire to manifest. Be willing to question your thoughts and beliefs around your creation.
Again, if it were just a matter of taking proper action, everyone would have what they desire. But living in tandem with Spirit is all about managing the inner as well as the outer.
Cleaning up your stuff can be overwhelming, so here’s a simple place to start. Begin by asking yourself, “What do I really believe?” Be honest with yourself. Ask yourself, “Does this belief serve me? Does it constrict or expand me?” Then ask yourself, “What belief would feel better?”
How you treat yourself has EVERYTHING to do with what you receive in your life. You can’t attract what you desire until you do the work and value yourself. When you are willing to look at your beliefs and choose ones that empower and uplift you, you are telling the Universe/God/Source/All that Is that you honor your divinity and you are worthy of all good things in life.
My mentor’s request to you is to pick one of the three suggestions above and implement it this week. Be in the energy of curiosity as you notice what shifts, what changes, and what arises for you. Notice what shifts around you as well. Then, move on to the next suggestion – or come up with one of your own.
