5 Acts of Faith Exercises That Demonstrate Your Faith in the Universe

BY Mike Dooley        July 25, 2019

One of my favorite Notes from the Universe says:

Would you believe that there are some people who actually think
they can change their life through "pretending it better"?

Yep, and we call them masters.

In awe of you,
The Universe

Sure beats pretending nothing is happening. Ha!

I love this one, because I believe pretending changes everything! By deliberately acting “as if” our dreams have already come true or specific events have already manifested, we draw them closer into our reality. Thoughts become things. Our thoughts, words, and actions demonstrate to the universe what we believe, and what we believe ultimately determines our reality.

These exercises below come from my book, Playing the Matrix, now in PAPERBACK! In it I share what I did and what I’ve learned since creating the most amazing rebound of my life (financially, romantically, and joyfully), with the intention of helping others do the same. I explain the logistics of manifestation, creative visualization, inspired action, end results, cursed hows, what to delegate to life’s magic, and what to never delegate.

Here's a preview of some of what I'll cover in the Masterclass. These are my 5 favorite “acts of faith” exercises to help you manifest the things you most desire:

1. Have a dinner party celebration (with friends who understand this stuff).
Speak of, celebrate, and toast each other’s latest outrageous escapades (your dreams that will be coming true) as if they have already come true. Talk about the love of your life you’ve just met, the travels you’ve recently been on, the new friends you’ve made, the great success of your company.

2. Buy concert tickets for two (particularly if you’re dateless).
Oh boy, could I share some stories here of how people seemed to appear out of thin air after such demonstrations, ironically shifting my issue of loneliness to something else. You just never know what will manifest once you take that first step... so prepare the way and buy the tickets before you have anyone to take with you.

3. Get a gift for the person you dream of manifesting into your life.
There’s no reason to wait. What do you imagine giving to the love of your life? To your new best friend? To the child you hope to have? To your new business partner/editor/publisher/mentor/client/travel partner? Write them a card or buy them a meaningful gift that you will give to them once they come into your life.

4. If you feel time-starved, take unplanned time off.
This is a great way to show yourself that you really do have more time than you think you have. Plan things into your schedule and write them into your calendar as if you had all the time in the world – vacations, time with friends, art classes, hiking, dinners out, etc.

5. Write a letter telling someone of your latest successes
This is such a favorite of mine. Consider a long lost friend or family member and write them a letter (you don't have to mail it) from the perspective of some point in the future. Catch up with them about the past, reflect on the dreams of yours (your present dreams) that have already come true in the most amazing of ways, and how much better life is than you ever dreamed it could be "back then."

These physical demonstrations speak louder than your words and louder than your thoughts. Actually, they are your thoughts, but animated. This is still about thoughts becoming things... Yet, because you’re physically moving with them, they work to suppress any invisible, limiting beliefs that would have otherwise held you back. When you are in motion, your inner witness says, “Ah, so this must be the truth because I see you acting on it.” As opposed to seeing you do nothing, which implies, “I’m not worthy. I’m not ready. I’m not good enough. I don’t know.”

So... get a little silly... drive the long way to work, get up at 3 o’clock one morning, stay up until 4 o’clock one night. Shake up your inner witness to show the Universe and yourself that this time things are different, you’re not the same, and watch as the floodgates of change begin to tremble.
