If I could give you one piece of advice for moving quickly into the life of your dreams, it would be to visualize once day for four minutes.
Before you start visualizing, do your best to enter into that feeling of truly understanding that you are a divine creator and that all things are possible.
This is a state of understanding that you really do deserve whatever you have the “audacity” to believe in, possessing the certainty that your thoughts always have become and always will become the things and events of your life.
Remind yourself that the realization of your dreams is not something you have to orchestrate; all you have to do is determine, define, and focus on the end result, and the Universe will figure out the details.
The Universe and its principles will be receiving the impressions of what you want, picking up your thoughts when you visualize and taking over from there; it’s the law.
Another thing you can do before visualizing is remind yourself of all your prior successes in life, especially similar successes with regard to what it is you’re now after.
You can also do this whenever you face challenges, reminding yourself of times in the past when you prevailed over similar adversities, whether you’re about to visualize or not.
List them if it helps, and write down or think of all the other times in your life when you received help that you needed: when the Universe stepped in on your behalf, when you maintained the necessary faith to bring about the changes you wanted, and when you triumphed in the face of fear.
Looking at these lists and thinking of your successes before you visualize will help you have the right frame of mind and bolster the belief that you can, indeed, have whatever it is you want.
Getting into the perfect frame of mind isn’t always easy, so don’t beat yourself up if you’re feeling a little stressed or harried before you start.
Whenever possible, do what you can to get that right feeling—listen to music, read some deep and profound words, briefly listen to an audio program, or team up with others for support.
The difference in your visualizing, including the results it will eventually yield, can be great because you’ll face much less resistance from limiting beliefs by starting like this. Such beliefs will all have been, at least temporarily, diminished by the state of grace you’ve just invoked.
Eventually, you’ll get used to thinking from these perspectives, whether or not you’re about to visualize.
