Why We Chose Africa

Jambo Fellow Adventurers!!

The elephants have been herded, the migrations have begun, and our native guides have been chosen! Prepare for TUT’s boldest adventure ever… SOUTHERN AFRICA!

Unless you’ve been before, nothing can prepare you for experiencing Africa.

This will be our 3rd safari into the bush and plains where all the BIG 5 roam (lions, leopards, elephants, rhinoceros, and African buffalo) – I promise your every expectation will be wildly exceeded! From experience, I can tell you that every day feels like a dreamed-up wonderland filled with stunning beauty, smiling faces, laughing hyenas, new friends, and memories to last a lifetime.

We’ll also get to experience one of my favorite cities in the world… CAPE TOWN, with its bustling harbor, picture-perfect beaches, top-notch vineyards, joyful locals, and iconic Table Mountain (worth a google!). Then we’ll visit Kapama Private Game Reserve, the largest single owner game reserve in the region. Plus, there’ll be a side trip to Zimbabwe to see Victoria Falls, the largest waterfall in the world and one of the planet’s Seven Natural Wonders!

I’ll be with the group every day, doing what you do, by your side! Whether around a campfire, in the lodges, atop Table Mountain, or on the go, I’ll be sharing with you the best of what I teach to audiences around the world, including my cutting edge material from, "Playing the Matrix."

Please join myself and dozens of other fearless adventurers on this expedition to Africa. DAY 4
AUGUST 24, 2024

Cape Town, South Africa

Enjoy the freshest flavors of breakfast in the intimate and cozy setting of the hotel’s Atlantic Restaurant.

This morning, Mike and Andy invite you to seize the moment by choosing from one of the following half-day activities:

Robben Island Tour
Robben Island lies 9km from the shores of Cape Town. Once a mark of shame in the history of South Africa, it is now a must-see attraction and a symbol of triumph over adversity. After a 30-minute ferry ride, you’ll have a private tour of the former maximum-security jail guided by former political prisoners, who draw a vivid picture of life in incarceration. Here leaders of the struggle against racial oppression including Nelson Mandela and Robert Sibukwe developed their concepts for a post-apartheid South Africa. In recognition, UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee marked the island for ‘Triumph of the human spirit’ and declared it a World Heritage site in 1999. After the prison tour, we will drive around the island and then head back on the ferry and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

Cape Winelands Tour
The Cape Winelands area is renowned for producing some of the world’s finest wines. Only 25 minutes from Cape Town, the enthralling mountainous landscape boasts an impressive list of luxury wine farms, stretching across lush fertile valleys. Explore a collection of historic little hamlets and towns dotting the countryside while sampling a selection of world-class wines at historic Cape Dutch farmsteads and award-winning wine estates.

When you return from your chosen activity you are welcome to relax in the comforts of your appointed room or shop and explore the waterfront on your own.

Tonight’s farewell to Cape Town is in a reserved section of GOLD Restaurant. GOLD is a vibrant, eclectic Pan-African experience in the heart of Cape Town. It promises a night of opulent feasting with a unique bouquet of live entertainment in a mystical African setting.

Accommodations: Table Bay Hotel

Included meals: Breakfast & dinner

DAY 5
AUGUST 25, 2024

Cape Town to Kapama Game Reserve

After an early morning breakfast in the Atlantic Restaurant, we’re off to the airport for our flight to Hoedspruit and the short 15-minute drive to The Kapama River Lodge where our safari adventure begins.

After check-in and a TUT Talk, we will head out on our first evening game drive through the reserve! A skilled tracker will scan the landscape for wildlife, pointing out animals big and small. En route we’ll stop for a sundowner and watch the sunset. We’ll return to our base camp in time to freshen up before a sumptuous dinner.

How can I find a roommate?

When you register for the trip, there’s a button to click if you’d like us to find you a roommate. We will then do our utmost to pair you with another traveler who has also requested a roommate.

How many people do you expect to attend?

Group sizes typically range from 50-100 people, but there’s no limit either way. Always, the right people show up for each trip!

Do I need vaccinations or immunizations?

ALL TRAVELERS should make sure that your standard adult immunizations and ‘boosters’ are up to date.  Although low, there is a malaria risk in Kapama Private Game Reserve and in Zambia. Precautions are advised and you should consult your personal physician for prescribed malaria medication. Additional vaccines are not necessary for travel to South Africa and Zambia, unless you are traveling from certain countries that require proof of vaccination against certain diseases like yellow fever.

Do I need travel insurance?

BenchMark Incentives strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance* before any TUT trip! Travel insurance offers travelers coverage for unforeseen problems, from a cancelled flight to a serious illness—or in rare cases, even an act of terrorism or the financial default of a travel supplier. If you miss a travel connection, even for reasons beyond your control, you are NOT necessarily protected from financial loss unless you have travel insurance. For example, if you encounter mechanical problems, flight delays, or inclement weather that causes you to miss connections, the airline carrier might re-book you, although in many cases (such as bad weather) it is NOT guaranteed (in which case you may either have to purchase an entirely new round-trip ticket or forego the entire prepaid trip without any reimbursement). Travel insurance can cover new flights or provide trip cancellation coverage (for a covered loss), as well as emergency medical expenses and medical transportation.

Travel insurance also provides 24 hour "911" emergency travel service, in case a traveler has to change a flight or a hotel room, in addition to assistance with emergency cash transfers, lost baggage, and pre-trip consultation services (travel advisories, passport requirements, inoculation information, etc.).

HOW TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE:

You can obtain travel insurance from Travel Guard International. To view the various policies offered, log onto Travel Guard Insurance. You will have two options to purchase travel insurance: 1.) US and Canadian residents may call Travel Guard directly at 1-800- 826-1300. In this case you may be asked for a travel agent code. Please give Travel Guard the code 22735731 as this code will identify your booking with BenchMark Incentives, Inc. 2.) Visit Travel Guard’s website at Travel Guard Insurance to process the insurance yourself. Please be sure to read all policy information thoroughly and note that if you have a pre-existing condition you must apply for the insurance within 14 days of the trip deposit date.

  • Please note that Travel Guard insurance is only available to U.S. and Canadian residents at this time. If you live elsewhere, please check for such coverage within your home country from independent providers.
What can I expect from attending a WOW TOUR?

This is an opportunity for adventurers, like-minded thinkers from around the world, to come together and share the experience of a lifetime. There will be daily workshops, group excursions, free time to explore on your own, and time to connect with Mike Dooley and his brother, Andy, one-on-one.

What should I pack and bring with me?

You will need to pack clothes, toiletries, necessary medicines, electronics, and anything else you’ll need for a trip lasting 10 days. Click here to see our pre-departure check-list! We also recommend you take a look at the itinerary to plan accordingly when packing.

How much free time will I have?

Each day, there will be time for you to spend however you like. Some days you will have free time in-between excursions and workshops, and other days you will have the entire morning or afternoon to relax or explore on your own.

Can I bring my children and/or spouse?

Yes! We would love for your spouse and/or children to join us, however, the minimum age for children joining our adventures is 18 years-old.

Are there scholarships available? OR can I trade my services in exchange for going on the trip?

We don’t have any scholarships available for WOW Tours at this time, nor are we accepting an exchange of services. The only way to attend is to register.
