Jambo Fellow Adventurer!

This April, 2020, we’ll be embarking on our first-ever expedition within the USA – to the spiritual heartlands of Santa Fe, New Mexico! This will be our 29th TUT WOW TOUR!

I’m excited about this adventure because, even as an American, we’re going to places I’ve read about my entire life, but have never seen… like legendary and renowned Bandelier, where Native Americans settled into the sculpted canyons and mesa tops of the Pajarito Plateau! Plus, every day we’ll head out from our home-base, Eldorado Hotel & Spa, on adventures like river-rafting the Rio Grande, visiting Abiquiu on the Ghost Ranch Tour, scenic Chimayo and Tent Rocks, carved by thousands of years of geological forces.

Like all WOW Tours, this will not be 6 days of “workshop” with a little adventure, but 6 days of adventure! There’ll be short, daily TUT Talks by myself and my brother, Andy—unplugged, unscripted, yet touching upon our greatest hits and covering any and all topics you might raise. The rest of our time together will be spent exploring, sharing, learning, and connecting. You’ll return home ready to live deliberately and create consciously, as a faster manifestor, with new friends and memories to call on for the rest of your life.

If you want a roommate, we'll help you find one! Just click the box on the registration form asking to be paired up with one.

Let's be part of history!

P.S. We don’t host these trips for the small margins involved, we host them because of the FUN we have. Group sizes typically range from 50-100 people, although the Spirit of Santa Fe will likely have many more due to its high value. No matter the number, we’ve always found that the right people show up for each trip and each receives what they most need!

A group lunch will be served with free time in the afternoon for exploring and shopping.

Accommodations: Eldorado (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are Included)

DAY 3: Tuesday, April 28, 2020

Optional morning meditation with Andy Dooley.

Today set out to discover various adventures in the Southwest. Lunch will either be included on your chosen tour or with a cash allowance. A TUT Talk will commence after returning from adventures in late afternoon. In the upcoming months you will be asked to choose from the following excursions:

River Rafting

The beautiful Rio Grande Gorge has Class II and III rapids, so even a beginner can handle this with our expert guides. You'll experience unsurpassed beauty and a remarkable adventure as you paddle through exciting rapids and float along scenic vistas.

Note: Plan to wear a bathing suit with tight-fitting layers made out of moisture-wicking material (no cotton), water shoes, sunscreen, and bring dry clothes to change into after rafting.

Meditation at the Upaya Zen Center

When we use the term mindfulness, we are usually referring to an experience of being fully present with the arising and passing away of the present, moment after moment. Upaya Zen Center is a Buddhist practice, service, and training center. Here, you will participate in a daily meditation ritual at Upaya’s Circle of the Way Temple.

Note: Please wear black or dark colors, avoiding shorts and tank tops.

Abiquiu & Ghost Ranch Tour

For those who love Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings, this 5-hour tour is a must! We’ll take you to the environs of Abiquiu, a picturesque region of New Mexico that captured O’Keeffe’s “White Place”, with its spectacular rock formations. You will visit Ghost Ranch where O’Keeffe had a home, marvel at the landscapes, and learn about the unique history of the Genízaro who settled in this area in the mid-1700s.

Tent Rocks Hike

Enjoy a beautiful slot canyon hike through the unique geological area known as Kasha-Kutuwe Tent Rocks. These large cone shaped rocks (“hoodoos”) hugging the steep cliffs of Peralta Canyon are a sight to be seen. The trail will meander through an arroyo with beautiful old trees dotting the landscape here and there, with the canyon walls rising up above you on either side. You'll soon come to a narrowing of the trail where it twists and turns through the narrow slot canyon. Exiting the slot canyon, the area will open up more and you'll get closer to some massive hoodoos. The trail starts to climb from here for a short while until you reach the mesa top, dotted with gnarled old juniper trees. Take a break and enjoy the view before heading back the way you came.

Spa treatment at Eldorado Spa

From the soothing relaxation room to the softly lit ambiance of your treatment room, the quiet, calm atmosphere of Nidah Spa is just the beginning of your journey toward balance and serenity. Select from a myriad of relaxing treatments to suit your needs and enjoy!

Chimayo Tour

Enjoy a genuine taste of the Spanish and Pueblo cultures of New Mexico and the amazing landscapes north of Santa Fe. We'll visit the Spanish village of Chimayo with a legendary church, local arts, and chile. We’ll travel across the Rio Grande to an Indian Pueblo renowned for pottery. From a high cliff, we'll overlook breathtaking views of the region.

Native American Cooking Class

Experience traditional cooking the way Native Americans intended at the Santa Fe School of cooking. Lunch is provided if you complete the class!

Together we will gather for an interactive dining experience that will transport our group into fantastic realms of story and exploration through art. We will nibble on interesting food items as we make our way through this wildly imaginative art space of non-linear storytelling that unfolds through exploration, discovery and 21st century interactivity. We recommend not investigating everything about Meow Wolf in advance as it spoils the experience and surprise!

Accommodations: Eldorado (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner are Included)

DAY 4: Wednesday, April 29, 2020

Optional morning meditation with Andy Dooley.

This morning we’re off to discover Bandelier National Monument and the mysteries and treasures from Paleoindians over 11,000 years ago to the Pueblo people of today. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Eldorado for a TUT Talk.

Petroglyphs, dwellings carved into the soft rock cliffs, and standing masonry walls pay tribute to the early days of a culture that still survives in the surrounding communities. The Pueblo people settled in the sculpted canyons and mesa tops of the Pajarito Plateau west of Santa Fe. This amazing volcanic landscape is among the most beautiful places in the Southwest. This half-day trip to the Bandelier National Monument holds cliff dwellings and expansive ruins of old Pueblo villages dating to the 1500s. The drive to and from Bandelier is quite beautiful too. The route crosses the Rio Grande near San Ildefonso Pueblo and includes some extra stops that will amaze! Lunch is included along the way.

After a memorable day, enjoy the night on your own or in the company of your fellow TUT Adventurers in the world-class foodie enclave of Santa Fe.

Accommodations: Eldorado (Breakfast & Lunch are Included)

DAY 5: Thursday, April 30, 2020

Optional morning meditation with Andy Dooley.

There is time for breakfast and a TUT Talk before striking out to discover more of the inspirational surroundings on your own. Of course, feel free to simply retreat and reflect at the Eldorado Resort.

The San Felipe Pueblo is located on the Rio Grande River. The Pueblo is known for its passion for preserving traditional customs and values, taking great pride in its ancient origins and heritage with a strong ceremonial structure and practice of traditional rituals. The end of the month is the traditional Pueblo celebration and corn dance. Tonight you and your fellow SPIRIT OF SANTA FE travelers will witness this dance of renewal and celebrate the time we have shared.

Accommodations: Eldorado (Breakfast & Dinner are Included)

DAY 6: Friday, May 1, 2020

Optional morning meditation with Andy Dooley.

After breakfast transfer to the airport for flights home, renewed, refreshed, and with an expanded perspective!

Accommodations: Eldorado (Breakfast)

Adventure Highlights

We've discovered that one of the best things about these trips is the candidness and connection shared by the group. This is an opportunity for adventurers, like-minded thinkers from around the world, to join together and share the experience of a lifetime. The focus of these adventures is not on Mike, but rather on ourselves, our group dynamic, and the adventure at hand. For us, the most important thing is to achieve a sense of comfort from day one; to learn, explore, and discover together. Mike's casual, unplugged workshops will follow suit. We'll start by following a schedule, but if we get inspired or feel pulled in other directions, so be it! Here's some of what we have to look forward to together over the course of this great adventure:

  • 6 days (5 hotel nights) in Santa Fe at the beautiful Eldorado Resort.
  • Daily talks with Mike and Andy Dooley about life, dreams, happiness, and the nature of reality.
  • Time for Q&A following each talk to address your specific questions, concerns, dreams, and challenges.
  • Private one-on-one time with Mike Dooley and Andy Dooley, time permitting.
  • Sunrise meditations with Andy Dooley.
  • A visit to Bandelier National Monument (one of the most beautiful places in the Southwest) with its amazing volcanic landscape, petroglyphs, and dwellings carved into rock cliffs.
  • River rafting (Class II and III rapids) down the beautiful Rio Grande River (optional excursion).
  • A visit to Abiquiu, New Mexico, and a trip to Ghost Ranch, where Georgia O’Keefe had a home (optional excursion).
  • Other optional excursions include: Meditation at Upaya Zen Center, Tent Rocks Hike, and Native American Cooking Class.
  • Participate in our WOW Tour outreach option… Adopt a Tribal Elder. We love to give back to the communities we visit. This program was featured on CNN Heroes.
  • You will be entitled to a 15% discount at Eldorado’s renowned spa.

Santa Fe & New Mexico Facts

  • Spanish explorers searching for fabled gold and riches passed through the area that would become New Mexico in the early 16th century, encountering the well-preserved remains of a forgotten civilization that had later become grounds of a Pueblo stronghold in the 1200s.
  • Santa Fe is the highest capital among all the U.S. state capitals, even higher than the “Mile High” city of Denver. It is 7,199 feet or 2194 meters above sea level.
  • The Palace of Governors is the oldest landmark, or the oldest government seat, in the United States. It was built in 1610 by Pedro de Peralta. In 1960, it was declared a National Historic Landmark. Now, it is a museum.
  • San Miguel Mission or San Miguel Chapel is the oldest surviving church in the United States, located in Santa Fe. It is a Spanish colonial mission church built in the early 1600s. It was damaged in the Pueblo Revolt in 1680 but was resurrected again.
  • Santa Fe is the perfect city in New Mexico for Sunseekers. The city receives sun for about 310 days a year. The climate of the city is pleasant most of the year.
  • New Mexico did not become a US state until 1912. Its rugged, independent spirit can still be seen and felt today.
  • The city of Santa Fe is best known for its art and culture. Canyon Road is a magical half-mile in the Historic District of Santa Fe. If you are an art lover, take a stroll on this spectacular way to experience fine art, exquisite dining, and great shopping any day of the week.
  • Santa Fe is, and has been, home to many renowned figures, like Georgia O’Keeffe, Shirley McLaine, Gregg Braden, D. H. Lawrence, Douglas Adams, and Mary Austin.
  • In 1947, Roswell, New Mexico, became a topic of speculation about extraterrestrial life when a local farmer discovered unidentified debris on his property, which many still believe were the remains of a crashed alien spacecraft.

Participate in daily workshops

One of the highlights of our trips are the daily unplugged mini-workshops (TUT Talks) with Mike and Andy Dooley about life, dreams, happiness, and the nature of reality. To help keep your thoughts organized, you’ll receive a bound "Best of My Life" Passport, for whatever journaling needs you have - notes, contacts, and deeper introspection. You may even use it to create a customized plan that will give you guidance and direction for creating consciously beyond our trip. In these TUT Talks, a few key points from Mike Dooley’s present touring material, Playing the Matrix, and from Andy Dooley’s touring material, Smart Manifesting, will be shared to keep you as current as possible on their latest work.

Adventure with like-minded thinkers

Our trips are known for the friendships that are made! None of us self-proclaimed TUTTERS are into the idea of "group travel" – the whole notion speaks of compromise, routine and boredom, hardly adjectives for the life adventurers that we are! Yet something magical happens when like-minded thinkers embark on these trips. Everyone is fully versed in spiritual thinking, personal responsibility, and creating our own realities. Dreams and challenges are shared, illumination is sparked and lives are changed.

Talk one-on-one with Mike

On every trip we take, Mike is a part of the adventure in every way that you are. Whether we’re climbing a mountain, or riding a bus, or eating at a local restaurant, or passing out school supplies to children, Mike is there to facilitate and lead us in the adventure, along with his brother Andy, and our travel agent Christopher. There will be time to talk one-on-one with Mike and Andy, and there will also be time during group workshops to share and ask questions.

It’s been our tradition on these WOW TOURS to GIVE BACK to the people who call the places we visit, “Home.” We do this in a numbers of ways, including visiting orphanages, schools, reservations, refuges, or animal shelters, bringing with us supplies they may need, cash donations, and short “Mike Dooley Pep Talks”! Occasionally, we host “Mike Dooley Events” to the more affluent locals, giving 100% of our profits to local charities. To participate, there’s nothing you need to do in advance. We’ll let you know when the time arrives of (optional) ways you can be involved.

If you do not sign up directly through our travel agent, BenchMark Travel Services, you cannot be considered part of the TUT group and take part in the TUT activities. Sorry!

BenchMark Travel Services strongly recommends the purchase of Travel Guard travel insurance* before any TUT trip! Travel insurance offers travelers coverage for unforeseen problems, from a cancelled flight to a serious illness—or in rare cases, even an act of terrorism or the financial default of a travel supplier. If you miss a travel connection, even for reasons beyond your control, you are NOT necessarily protected from financial loss unless you have travel insurance. For example, if you encounter mechanical problems, flight delays, or inclement weather that causes you to miss connections, the airline carrier might re-book you, although in many cases (such as bad weather) it is NOT guaranteed (in which case you may either have to purchase an entirely new round-trip ticket or forego the entire prepaid trip without any reimbursement). Travel insurance can cover new flights or provide trip cancellation coverage (for a covered loss), as well as emergency medical expenses and medical transportation. Travel insurance also provides 24 hour "911" emergency travel service, in case a traveler has to change a flight or a hotel room, in addition to assistance with emergency cash transfers, lost baggage, and pre-trip consultation services (travel advisories, passport requirements, inoculation information, etc.).

*Please note that Travel Guard insurance is only available to U.S. and Canadian residents at this time. If you live elsewhere, please check for such coverage within your home country from independent providers.

HOW TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE: You can obtain travel insurance from Travel Guard International. You have two options to purchase travel insurance: 1. U.S. and Canadian residents may call Travel Guard directly at 1-800-826-1300. 2. Visit Travel Guard’s website at www.travelguard.com to process the insurance yourself. In this case you will be asked for a travel agent code, please give Travel Guard the code 22735731 as this code will identify your booking with BenchMark Travel Services. Please be sure to read all policy information thoroughly.
