Our Universe Prayer Flags flying in Nepal!
Our prayer flags are made by hand in Kathmandu, Nepal, by a family of Tibetan Buddhist prayer flag makers.
These flags are created in the spirit of the ancient Tibetan Buddhist Prayer Flags that are hung in the mountains of Tibet and throughout Nepal. Flying on rooftops of homes and monasteries, from bridges and trees in the countryside, they offer blessings on the wind. As the flags wave in the wind, the colors fade, and so the prayers are lifted and carried around the world. Prayer flags are hung with respect and intention to celebrate new beginnings: a new relationship, a new home, a new birth, a new journey, and always a New Year! They help insure luck and success for new adventures! This beautiful tradition dates back to the 10th century. Hang them in your yard, garden, porch, or meditation space. Create the intention for more joy, abundance, health, healing, gratitude and peace for yourself, your family, your community, and the world!
Flags are strung together by a nylon cord (included). Each flag measures 8" x 10" and is 100% fine cotton.
Entire strand is about 4 feet long. Meets with FAIR TRADE standards.
Please Note: Nepal still uses old-style dyes and inks, which create a strong odor. This odor will quickly dissipate in a few days.
