Three things most people don’t know about you:

I was voted “most likely to be an actress” in school (I always loved theatre), I’m a black belt in Tae Kwon Do (I wanted to open my own school and call it KIKS – Koppelman Institute of Karate Self-Defense), I’m a gypsy at heart (I’ve traveled to 20+ countries and lived in a lot of different places).

Things you love most:

Writing, practicing yoga, reading, exploring, spending time with friends and family, cooking with all the windows open and music playing, waking up at dawn to write, falling asleep outside, anything that can be enjoyed slowly (sushi, wine, anything you can eat with your hands), the beach, looking up at the stars at night, deep conversations about life, travel, the process of everything.

How do you like to recharge?

I like to take walks in the morning, write to center myself, practice yoga several times a week, and be outside in the world as much as possible.

What kind of impact do you believe you have on people?

My mom had an amazing gift of always seeing the light in every situation, and as a result everyone around her couldn’t help but see the light in it too. I want to think that I have the same gift. I am making it my practice to see the light (the hope) in everything, so that others may see it too.
