What are Screen Savers?
Screen
savers have been around for as long as there've been PC's. In the
beginning, they were designed to automatically dim computer monitors after
a programmed amount of time lapsed without activity. In the
"old" days, without such software, monitors could actually
become "burned" by idle images, leaving permanent ghost-like
traces of that image for the remainder of its life.
Over
the years, improved monitor technology has virtually eliminated these
concerns, however in that time screen savers began taking on new roles...
serving to beautify, refresh, and even to conceal the contents, of
unattended monitors. To take this evolution a step further... our
"Notes From The Universe" screen saver is actually a self
improvement tool. Each of its carefully selected
25 images of nature are accompanied by a lofty, and sometimes humorous,
"Note from the Universe" reminding the viewer of life's magic,
of their reach, and other empowering Universal truths. |
