Answers:
1) What is TUT’s Adventurers Club?
TUT’s Adventurers Club is a philosophical club of like-minded thinkers. We believe that life is the ultimate adventure because thoughts become things, dreams come true, and all things are possible. At the core of TUT are the daily Notes from the Universe e-mails—inspiring, uplifting messages about your power and divinity—which go out to over 300,000 people 5 days a week. We also have a brand new community called The Club, where our members can meet each other, find friends (new and old), create personal visionboards, define their goals, send e-cards, and more. Click here to read more of our story!
2) How do I sign up to receive the Notes from the Universe?
Signing up for the Notes is easy! Just go to www.tut.com and click on the link that says Sign up for the NOTES! The sign up is immediate and the Notes usually start arriving within 24 hours. If you don’t receive your first Note, make sure to check your junk mail folder to be certain they’re not going there. If you’ve checked your junk folder and you’re still not receiving the Notes, e-mail us.
3) Are the Notes from the Universe and The Club community separate? What if I just want to sign up for one and not the other?
Sort of. As of September 1st, 2009, the sign up for the Notes from the Universe is the same as the sign up for The Club community. On the sign up form, however, members can opt to just get the Notes or to get the Notes and create a personal profile where they can play. It's entirely up to you!
4) I already receive Notes from the Universe and I signed up before September 9th, 2009. Does that mean I’m not a member of the community? If so, how do I join?
If you signed up for the Notes from the Universe before September 9th, 2009, you are most likely not a member of the community yet. If you want to create a profile in the community, allowing you access to the e-cards, forums, visionboard, and more, you can do so easily. Just click here and you’ll be taken the page where you can sign up!
5) I just want to update my Notes from the Universe settings (such as which days I receive the Notes, my e-mail address, my goals, etc…). How do I do that?
There are two ways. You can update your Notes from the Universe settings from within your community profile by logging in to your profile from www.tut.com and clicking on your "Profile Settings" tab. OR if you're not a member of the community and don't have a community profile, you can update your information by clicking the "update profile" link at the bottom of any of the daily Notes you've ever received. If you don't have any of the Notes saved, click here and enter your email address at the top right corner of the page.
6) I had a profile in the old Village community. Can I still access my profile there or do I need to start over?
Unfortunately, the old Village community is no longer active, so you cannot access your old profile information. You will need to start over and sign up as a new member of the community if you want to join The Club.
7) Can I hide my profile if I decide I don't want to use it anymore or if I don't want to be seen by other members?
Yes! It's easy to make your profile hidden. Just log in to your account and click on the "Profile Settings" tab and scroll down and select "Hide Account." This will make your profile hidden to everyone. Please be aware though that if your profile is hidden, you will have limited user abilities – other members will not be able to search for you, write to you, or view your profile.
8) I want to send an e-card. Do I have to be logged in to The Club?
Yes. The TUT e-cards are now one of the features in The Club community, but The Club is free so the e-cards are still free! If you don't want to have a profile in the community but still want to send e-cards, you can create a "temporary" profile and set your account to "hidden." (See above for instructions on how to do this.) Then you can log in at any time to send an e-card, without anybody ever seeing your profile.
9) When I try to log in at www.tut.com I get a message saying that I am not a registered user.
It's possible that you are signed up for the Notes from the Universe but not the community. The sign up used to be separate, and if you signed up for the Notes from the Universe before September 1st, 2009, you most likely have not created a profile in the community yet. If this is the case, you can sign up for the community here!
10) What if I was getting the Notes from the Universe and they suddenly stopped?
There are several reasons why you may have stopped getting the Notes. It's almost always due to one of the following issues listed below:
Sometimes members or friends they've forwarded a Note to, accidentally clicks on the "Permanently Remove" link by accident, unsubscribing them from the Notes. To be sure you haven't accidentally unsubscribed, open any old Note from the Universe and click on "update profile" at the bottom of the page. You will be prompted to enter your e-mail address, after which instructions for updating your profile will be e-mailed to you. When you get that e-mail, click on the link inside it and you will be taken to a page where you can 're-submit' your profile. Make sure that the days you wish to receive the Notes are checked and then click SAVE.
Another possibility is that there's an issue with your Internet Service Provider. More and more often, ISP's like Excite, AOL, etc. (and many smaller companies), have begun experimenting with anti-spam filters. Unfortunately, these filters sometimes interpret our mailings as spam, preventing their delivery.
We are constantly working to have our mailings removed from such blacklists, however, in the meantime, there are several things you might do to solve this problem....
1. Check to see if your ISP account has a way for you to recover filtered emails (they almost always do). Usually filtered mail is automatically put into a folder called "Junk Mail" or "Spam," which you can easily access. After finding our mail, you may then be able to click on a link that might say, "This is not spam," or, "Allow this sender to send you email."
2. You may also be able to adjust or change the settings of your ISP account to modify how your email is filtered. It might also be required that you add theuniverse@tut.com to a list of approved e-mailers.
3. Complain to your ISP (see sample letter below). ISPs employ powerful filters to block unwanted mail and will sometimes accidentally block legitimate, requested mail also. We use a mailing service called Constant Contact to send our mails. We ask that you contact your ISP and request they either remove the block on our mail, or specifically whitelist it. We have included a message drafted for this purpose below. Once you have received an answer from your ISP, please forward it to postmaster@constantcontact.com so that they can work with your ISP if there are more questions.
4. Sign-up using another e-mail address.

SAMPLE Message to your ISP:
To: ISP Customer Support
Subject: Remove Constant Contact Block
Hello. My name is XXXX and I have been a customer of your services since XXXX. I understand that you employ filters and/or blacklists to protect customers like myself from unsolicited email; however, this has made it impossible for me to receive newsletters, announcements, and promotions that I have requested. I value these communications and would like to receive them using this email address.
The sender of these emails uses an email marketing service called Constant Contact. Constant Contact is not an open relay and has strict anti-spam policies in place. Because your filters block emails from Constant Contact I am unable to receive these communications.
I ask that you please help me determine why these emails are being blocked. For further information about Constant Contact or to request more information from them such as log files, the Ops team can be reached at - 781.472.8103 or ops@constantcontact.com.

11) How do I unsubscribe from the Notes from the Universe and delete myself from the TUT community?
If you are not a memeber of the TUT.com community: Click on the "Safe Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any NOTE you have ever received.
If you are a member of the TUT.com community: Log in to your profile at www.tut.com. Select the Profile Settings tab from your home page. On the
left side of the screen, under Account Menu, select "Deactivation." From there, you will see two options. You may deactivate your profile in the community,
but continue to receive the Notes. Or, you may delete your profile entirely from TUT, which will also unsubscribe you from the Notes.
12) How do I search for other members and friends within the TUT community?
Easy. After you log in to your account at www.tut.com click on the Search option link in the menu bar. From there you'll see advanced search options – allowing you to search for people by name, geographic location, age, interest, etc… You'll also have the ability to search for blogs, classifieds, clubs, and events as well.
12) How do I turn off email notifications from TUT telling me each time I receive a new message?
To turn off the email notifications, simply log into your TUT account at www.tut.com and go into your Profile Settings tab. From there, your Basic Settings options appear. Select Account Settings and uncheck the last box that says "Send me e-mail notifications."
