Thoughts Become Things

"Just 500 short years ago most of world, believed that the earth was flat! And perhaps even more shocking, is that less than 100 short years ago, people the world over were still saying “if God had wanted us to fly, he’d have given us wings?”

…Well, what do you think people one hundred, or 500 years from today, will laugh, at us, about? What do you think we’re missing? What truths do we stare at day in and day out, yet remain blind to?

I think I know what at least one of them is… and I think you know it too.

Have you ever heard someone say, “Be careful of what you wish for, because you just might get it?” I bet you have. We all have. And you know what else… I bet you believe it’s true, at least to some degree, don’t you?

You’ve also heard about the powers of positive thinking, haven’t you? And you believe it does have a power…

You’ve heard about the art of visualization too, you’ve probably even tried it, and maybe, you’ve got some great stories to tell about its success…

Don’t these 3 phrases say pretty much the same thing? And isn’t it strange how to some degree you believe in them all, yet have probably never questioned just HOW, or WHY they might work?

Something’s going on here. Something big. REALLY BIG.

Are you ready? In 3 short, life changing words, never to be forgotten words, “THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS!” That’s it! “THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS!” THIS is the principal beneath those statements, THIS is what turns a wish into reality, it’s what powers positive thinking, and it’s why visualizations work!

“THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS!” is the reason dreams, AND NIGHTMARES, come true, because the thoughts YOU think, become the things of your life. Not just sometimes, but all of the time, and not just your positive thoughts, but the other ones too. You see it’s an immutable law, as rigid and predictable as gravity itself. In fact, YOU CAN’T EVER TURN IT OFF!

But don’t let this scare you, this isn’t bad news! It’s AWESOME news, because they’re YOUR thoughts, and every minute of every day, YOU get to choose just what you’ll think! And with this law you can bring virtually anything you can imagine into your life, and it’s not just limited to attracting material things. You can also imagine more love, more joy and more laughter.

You see, thoughts actually have properties, like the properties that belong to any material element. Properties that have so far escaped our scientists, our engineers, even most philosophers, but there is NO ONE who could deny that they exist… right? Everyone has thoughts, right? I think it’s fair to say that the everyone must agree that whatever a thought is, it is. They exist. Period. And from this simple observation, doesn’t it make sense that if something exists, that it must have properties? And thoughts, DO!

I’d imagine that thoughts, like material elements, have countless properties, but the purpose of these recordings are to help you make your dreams come true, so I’ll just focus on the property of THOUGHTS BECOMING THINGS. Now, once a thought is thought, it’s as if it’s instantaneously endowed with a power and a force all its own, and it’s as if it’s given a single, solitary mission: to reappear in your life within time and space. If you think thoughts of material things, your thoughts will strive to become those material things, if you think thoughts of events or circumstances, your thoughts will strive to move the players and conditions around in your life, so as to yield those events or circumstances. And if you think thoughts of love, or hate, or of other emotions, again, your thoughts will shift around the conditions of your life so that you can experience those thought-of emotions all over again.

Now here are some of the attributes of this principal that you should be aware of. It doesn’t matter what your thoughts are, or whether they serve you or not, or whether they’re good or not, or whether they’re fair or not. Thoughts ARE like gravity in that they don’t pass judgment, they just do their thing. Also.........."

I concur completely.............
How do you retrain your mind?
Exercises?
What you speak of is the truth as has been my experience.....
Just how do you get your mind back into your controll?
Some thoughts are programmed in.........from life's experiences......
The reprogramming is an immense task......How to make this easier?
And at what point can you define true reality and the reality that your thoughts create?
My thoughts can create a loving family........what about my families thoughts? What happens if we have two opposing thoughts?
Ideas?
Love,
Dina

Devil's advocate here-Shouldn't you take this course to a refugee camp or the site of a natural disaster so that people can understand how their thoughts can fulfill their dream of living in a place with safe water and a next meal--I mean those simple dreams should be so much easier to materialize than a yacht?Reversing this line of thought don't we then end up actually blaming those who are undergoing misfortune because of being born in the wrong place ,at the wrong time for their problems,i.e.molested children are to blame for being raped because of lack of disciplining their mind?I am very interested in the answer as I said before my dream is to come to some sort of understanding of dichotomous philosophies.

ERIC...
I thought about your question all day.....
I don't think any of us here are looking for yachts....
I know I am not looking for anything material...
More like the ability to overcome past expericences and find serenity.
I find that I try and have faith that God has us all in a particular place for a very good reason. We are here having a discussion, that is where he has placed you and me for learning whatever it is that we have to learn right now. Other people are also wherever they need to be right now..... I just have to have faith that God is indeed in controll and that it's all good and it's all part of the divine plan. Possible that we have already been in a refugee camp, or part of a natural disaster, or we have not been there yet. But that feeling guilty for being where we are is not going to help us in any way, or help us to help others....
Love,
Dina

The thought is to look beyond the ulgyness to see beauty and divinity...in all humanity...If there wre no seperation there would be no shortages...all willingly sharing the earth as one is a solution...Peace and happiness are not to be bought thru money they are eternal free blessings bestowed upon this creation....Only selfish ones will choose to see limitation within their or those around thems experience...Remembering thoughts are things and thoughts create....how many united Americans will it take to unite the world?

Hi I'm appreciative of the replies,It"s not that i feel guilty nor do I believe that peace and happiness come solely from material things.Although I certainly think more about food whenI'm hungry. It is only that I'm trying to test the logic of this theory...much the samr way that you DINA wonder about opposing thoughts.,that was a great question-obviously there's a lot of conflicting thoughts floating around in the world today.

Enjoyed reading all the thoughts, philosophies and poetry!

To cover the questions with one post…

Dina… I think we all know what you mean when you say that’s an immense task to work with old conditioning and reprogramming the mind so as to be more positive going forward… but it becomes fantastically easier, when approached with thoughts and words that don’t create such a barrier… “It IS easy… it is fun… I’m good at catching limiting beliefs… it’s just a matter of listening to your thoughts, hearing your words, and watching your own behavior”… and then it WILL become easier.

This, alone, is exercise #1. More later.

There is no difference between true reality and the reality of your thoughts… same thing… just different stages. As to other people’s thoughts… you can’t make someone else love or respect you, or even agree with you, but you can find happiness in any situation so long as you don’t hinge your happiness on another’s behavior.

Our thoughts do have to work within an environment where other people’s thoughts are also working, but with the very, very few exceptions of family members, any such people are kind of “pre-approved” by ourselves or they WOULDN’T be in our lives to begin with. Our thoughts navigate ahead of us bringing people into, and taking people out of, our lives, based on our expectations of who/what other people are like. For family members… these decisions WERE OUR OWN prior to being born.

We are all eternal Beings of Light… not just eternal as in, “once we were born we then live forever”… but also prior to our physical births, we lived eternally in the past, we all predate time and space even. And we chose our family members based on our own desires and needs for spiritual growth, and a HUGE factor in determining these desires and needs, were the THOUGHTS (springing from our beliefs and expectations) we were thinking then… because there is no reality in which thought doesn’t exist, and there is no reality in which thought doesn’t precede experience.

ERIC… this “course” is “needed” by anyone who doesn’t recognize their own divinity… whether they live in Beverly Hills or in a refugee camp… neither group is more or less deserving, nor more or less needy of it.

Good question about blame. We should all take responsibility for where we are, and what we’ve experienced, no matter how awful, but I think “blame” is when someone else assigns responsibility onto another, and that job belongs to no one. Also, it’s only our slanted and distorted views of reality that make something seem honorable or disgraceful, when really, all paths enrich spirit. For the rape victim, what about love? Sure, we are all responsible for what happens to us, but that should in no way neutralize the love and compassion that wells in our hearts for those we care about. If a child has a horrible fall and is cut, bleeding, and in severe pain, you wouldn’t say, it was your own dang fault, so I’m not paying you any attention.

Dina – what’s wrong with yachts… I’d like one… think of the thousands of people its construction would employee, and think of how their families even would benefit… think of the spiritual learning it would require of me, in order to “break through” past conditioning, and what of the fun and joy it would bring to all who went for a ride? Some pretty good reasons… can’t think of one reason not to have one… unless aspiring to it somehow detracted from the love and joy in my life… but THAT, would be an entirely different subject. I like what you said about people being where they “need” to be, and the guilt thing.

Thanks for the posts… Back in a day or 2… Tallyho,

the thought process IS a part of the creative process.we all are cocreaters.and usually like attracts like.there are many seemingly hidden dynamics in bad experiences .not that i like pain,i hate it just like everyone else.but i to have had a lot of horrifing experiences.most of which have led me to greater things, even though i couldn't see it at the time.i have also experienced many wonderful things.just a thought.catherine

I have been in the state of mind/spirit where I could see that everything happens for a reason and that it all makes sense and fits together. I know that there is no injustice from a certain perspective. But, that's not the reality I live in most of the time. The reality I usually live in has much injustice and suffering. They're both valid. They're just different viewpoints.

Since I can't maintain that level of consciousness on a regular basis, I tend to see a lot of injustice and suffering. So, since that's where I live, I choose to see that part of cause, effect, blame, responsibility, etc. alone. I choose to normally focus on what I can do something about.

In other words:
Whatever the cause and history, we are HERE NOW.
The only thing I can control is my own thoughts and reactions to whatever happens.
I refuse to worry excessively about WHY. I enjoy the moments when I can see the big picture. If I think about it otherwise, it wastes time and tends to lead to unnecessary feelings of guilt (which wastes more time).

Wondering about WHY was great when I was younger. It's still great when I have the time and I feel like playing with ideas and concepts of reality. I'm at a different stage of life right now - midlife. Now, my focus is on learning to live, to put into practice all I know and believe.

It's hard not to get distracted by all the injustice in the world. It's hard not to spend my life lost in sadness at all the suffering. Lack of compassion isn't my weak area. Lack of knowing my OWN desires and motivations is my weak area.

again I am not talking about guilt here nor compassion.I am Talking about teaching a possibly erroneous premise,I'm testing the hypothesis--for example if we did teach this to someone in acontext of lack and suffering in which it is not possible to materialize a yacht much less a meal isn't that supreme arrogance of the well fed.Don't we make a presumption based upon in fact our history(we have computers, electricity and at least rudimentary education) that others can do the same just by thinking. In fact it is because of history that we are having this discussion right now,not because we are necessarily deserving more than others, though this premise might also be titled Manifest Destiny

Hi to all.
If only thought was what we live what about the mentally ill, the disable. I am sure it was not their thoughts that had them this way.
To me you all all saying that what we think is what we are - true most of the time but we also have to account for outside influences in our life. I ti s the way we handle the outside influences that we have control over.

ERIC: As to the premise of these teachings, I can only say that I do believe that thoughts become things, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, therefore I believe teaching this truth to ANYONE only helps reveal to them their own power, divinity, and freedom. I would even go so far as to say that to the true Illuminate, materializing yachts, or meals, or loaves of bread out of thin air would be very possible (someone has even done it). But my inability to walk on water, so far, doesn’t keep the truth of its possibility from flooding my awareness, leaving me to face the next step in my journey… LIVING the truths I’ve discovered. Nor should it keep anyone from passing on this truth, in its all its FULLNESS.

We must all deal with where we are, so for the people who are starving, they would take the philosophy of thoughts becoming things and apply it to acquiring food, not yachts – and they would need to recognize the entire truth behind it and its limitless potentials, in order to fully apply it. Otherwise, if they’re thinking that there are other mitigating factors out there, that sometimes prohibit this principle from operating, then heck, why bother with it at all because even after following it, some other principle may trump you out of your meal.

EVITA: Your question about the mentally ill and disabled is EXCELLENT, but it must be answered outside of the box, because to ask it implies things that, in my opinion, are not necessarily true.

Your question implies that we do not have any say about the circumstances of our birth, but what if we do? I think it also implies that we all only have one life on earth, but what if we live as often as we like?

These issues will be coming up later in the program, but to give you a preview. As unlimited Beings of Light, we are eternal, and death is only like “changing the channel” of our focus. Further, we live perhaps hundreds, or even thousands, of lifetimes in time and space. So with an understanding of these kinds of truths, your question would probably become, “WHY? Why would someone choose such lives?”, and I’ll pick up on that later.

I realize that some of that may surprise some of you, maybe even shock you. I only hope that it doesn’t scare you away… because these ideas will make MUCH more sense as we progress through the “scripts”, and as other members share their insights.

Finally, I also believe by the end of this 6 weeks, you will no longer believe in “outside influences” to the same degree.

MOM: I’ve heard much about Jung, but don’t know anything about his philosophies. Similar so far?

actually i don't find it shocking at all that someone would promulgate a belief system that essentially deposits years of injustice and oppression on those who been murdered, exploited and otherwise
traumatized and chalk it up to an essentially religious belief(your version of reincarnation).Thats been done repeatedly and continues to this day---The idea of your "ageeing " insome other place to undergo suffering precludes free will.If you take out free will how can we change our destiny through thought?

ERIC....destiny and free will go hand in hand.like many other dualities in this life.my personal belief is that we do indeed have a predestined blueprint(as it were).yet we have the ability to alter or redirect ourselves at any time we choose.there is a balance that creates harmony.catherine
