If you were attacked, would kindness be your response?

Q:  I believe God controls the world but if you were attacked on the street would kindness be your response?

A:  Not just anyone is attacked on the street.

You might not like this, but I believe at the deepest levels, we make our own reality... good and bad. That there are no accidents and no coincidences... and no victims. That doesn't mean horrible things don't happen to unsuspecting people... but it does mean that those people had beliefs conducive to what happened to them (this does not mean that they "deserve" what happens to them, but that they believed that they lived in a world where such things can and do happen!).

I'm not a bible toting person, but that quote... "do not draw your sword... for he who draws his sword will die by the sword" says the same thing. People who believe in violence... meet violence. That doesn't mean that they were first physically violent.

There are also other belief factors... and "mission" or "purpose" factors that would lead someone to place themselves in perilous situations... so there is no one answer, except this... we make our own realities.
