What about the Bible? What about Jesus? What about hell?

Q:  Mike! What about the Bible? What about Jesus? What about hell?

A:  I think you err in thinking that the Bible is God's word. He did not write it, man did, and then the original good words were translated dozens of different times to stir fear into people... to gain control over them. Way back then the churches controlled countries, not politicians or corporations, and as you well know, the churches fought wars, and killed, and maimed, and defamed... but you trust their interpretation of "God's" word?

Do you really think that God is not big enough to UNDERSTAND and forgive even the most grievous sin? What would be the point in a human life? To see if certain individuals could pass certain litmus tests as to being dutiful? Then what the heck is God going to do with all the good ones? And why would he want a man who thinks poorly of himself and commits crimes throughout his brief life on earth, say 50 years... to be tortured for 50 trillion, or a zillion years in hell? Does the crime fit the punishment? Sounds like a very childish way to run a Universe!! Human parents are more tolerant than such a God. And I would imagine GOD to be a whole lot more understanding than human parents.

Here is a better idea to me: What if a reality was created by God, who made man in his likeness, given power and dominion over all, so that each and every man and woman could then learn of their own power and divinity...? And what if this God so loved his every child, those who tripped and stumbled, and did poorly in life... would then be lovingly embraced by this kind omniscient radiant forgiving Father and shown their true nature... and, if they so chose... they could live another life time, or as many as they wanted, or explore other realities, so that eventually ALL would enter the "Kingdom of Heaven"... by fully grasping the wonder and magic and unending miracles of life? Where no one was cast to hell... apart from perhaps living a miserably unhappy life on earth based on their mis-thinking.

What if there was only LOVE, only HEAVEN and only GOD... for those who chose to see life this way? Doesn't this sound divine? Of course most people don't see life like this... so guess who appeared to show a better way... Jesus... not the only son of God, but one of us who by right thinking not only taught, but lived the truth... giving him mastery over every limitation. He is a blessed being... showing us what life can be like... and by following his teachings... and the teachings of many other such enlightened souls, all can achieve the same... but by following this MAN, or by placing him higher than yourself, you destroy many of his messages and you begin worshipping an idol instead of the truths he taught.

Jesus loves you, and me, and every living soul... so does God... they do not judge, only love. It's we who judge.
