Can I take someone to court, and forgive them, at the same time?

Q: I've been "violated" in a financial dealing, but I also understand
the "no victims" concept. Presently the matter is going to court. Am
I wrong to mess with all this legal stuff, since really I know that life
is an illusion?

A: As long as going to court is based on your own impulses and instincts, I think you can and should take the guy to task, partly because you love yourself as much as you love him. This is as much a "test" about forgiveness, as it is about self-respect. Sure, it's all illusions, but that doesn't mean that nothing matters. You can still proceed with great kindness in your heart. Let the Universe met out the settlement, but do your part as directed from within.
