I don't understand the people I meet!

Q:  Why is it that we meet people for "a reason"?  I am a firm believer but sometimes I don't understand the people I meet!

A:  What’s the reason that anything happens in time and space? All things and events are born of the thoughts of those who experience them, and our thoughts stem from our beliefs and expectations about life. When you meet someone, the important thing to remember is that YOU caused and permitted them to come into your life, you were not a bystander, YOU were the reason. And as for why you chose as you did… there are as many reasons as there are meetings.

Some are big and empowering, others are small and demeaning, and some are just for the fun of it. Often though, this line of thinking (looking for reasons) seems to imply that everything that does happen, “should have” happened; and in turn, that line of thinking, gets people stuck in ruts. The only things that “should happen”, are the things that you imagine, believe in and expect – in other words, the things you think about… but you get to choose what you’ll think, and it’s OK to change your mind.

Just because you’ve met someone, doesn’t mean there’s some hidden, “meaningful” agenda, and just because someone’s already in your life, doesn’t mean, necessarily, that they should stay there.
