I've quit
drugs... but now there's the pain, emotional and physical...
Q: I've quit drugs... but now there's the pain, emotional and physical...
A: You’ve passed the hard part. Now, two jobs
remain.
First… look forward, not back, focus on the good, not the pain. Reaffirm regularly, that you feel better now, that it’s easy now, that you’re happy now. This will seem strange because you don’t feel any of these… but with a new focus, and the affirmations, you WILL begin to change the outside world in ways that you can not now comprehend. Then, life will become those things, and you will have forgotten all about this little game that you must play. That hardest part about change is “living it” in the midst of the old world around you because it all seems so silly and futile. 20 years ago I used to always say, as a habit, “I’m so tired”, and I was ALWAYS really tired. But when I made myself stop saying that, even though I was tired, the change was almost instantaneous and I then stopped being so tired. My challenge was smaller than yours, but it’s the same. IT IS THE SAME. You must play this game.
Second… when gloom hangs over you ASK, AND DEMAND, why you feel so. Your beliefs are the culprits, and they are bogus. Why, as an unlimited Being of Light, do you feel lonely, or powerless, or bored, or depressed? You WILL find that you have the answers, and then you need to logically dispel those answers. DON’T SAY, “I DON’T KNOW WHY I FEEL LIKE THIS.” Because #1, you do know, and #2, by saying you don’t know you will subconsciously hide the answers from yourself. You must say, “I know”… even when you might feel like you don’t know. OK?
It’s easy. IT IS EASY. You are strong, strong enough to write me, and obviously willing enough to make a difference in your life. Your success is inevitable.
Congrats on rounding the bend!
