Have my thoughts influenced this
situation at work?
Q:
I'm in
an interesting work situation...
For 5 years I worked hard and was
ignored and undervalued, but suddenly, a
few months ago, I was told that I would
be given a fairly significant
promotion. All has gone well with
getting things in place, except for the
last "hoop" - one person in human
resources has blocked it. My supervisors
are prepared to fight for me, but it's
not guaranteed.
My
questions are:
1. Have
my thoughts influenced this situation?
2. Can
they still influence it?
3. And on
a more spiritual note, where does God's
wisdom for us fit into our wanting what
we want?
A: My answers are:
1. Yes (but
influence doesn't mean determining what others will
say or do)
2. Yes (same as
above).
3. God's will for
us mirrors our own will. We are God, our will is
his. There is no agenda to follow. We make it up as
we go. The wisdom question is a good one. The
wisdom, Universal wisdom and/or truth, is freely
available for everyone, and with it, we can make
infinitely better decisions. However, so often,
people kid themselves, they are not honest with
themselves, and then they blame others for their
predicaments, while not truly allowing themselves to
realize that they have held onto limiting, false
truths.
