Mike, how do you know???
Q: I must tell
you that I believe in God, however, I did spend many years an agnostic. The
same question I asked a minister when I was a boy came to mind as I read
your answers here.
How
do you know?
Why
is what you say any more true than what a priest, or rabbi, or faith-healer
says? What happens at the end of our lives when we might find out that this
is all there is? At age 50, and not very happy with my financial outlook, I
wonder if I spent all those years struggling and working and worrying, only
to die broke. I have a list of medical problems, financial fears, self
doubts, and the lot. I read one of your answers which stated that this is
all brought on by me?
How
do you know?
A: Simply, my
life is proof of what I say, and however difficult this may be to accept
at first, I think you’ll find that your life is proof of what I say.
Recognizing this will place you in a position of power, from which you
can set about to do great things.
You are only
slightly older than me, therefore with lots to look forward to.
And, with a sense of optimism, you can be assured that the best of your
life is yet to come!
