I have an embarrassing physical condition.... How do I get rid of it?

Q:  I need your input on my use for this whole theory of yours. I have this condition called hyperhidrosis. My hands and feet sweat all the time, and my face blushes all the time. "They" say it is caused by an overactive sympathetic nervous system. Well, I need to get rid of this, because it is affecting every aspect of my life. I am hoping that through what you've been teaching, I can get through this. I know I may be asking for a miracle, but it seems that this kind of stuff has been creating miracles. Yes, I feel hopeless and that I will be stuck this way always, but a part of me says, Do not give up! You can get what you want! Well, my question is: Since you are so educated on this material, do you even think it is possible for me to get over this condition? It is so embarrassing for me, especially since I am at the age where I will be starting a career, meeting new people, and becoming more social.  You have probably seen so many miracles and have had so many yourself. Thank you for giving hope to those who feel "stuck" in life!

A:  I’m not a doctor, but in my opinion, at a minimum, you can greatly minimize your symptoms using thought, visualization, and by saying and doing things that serve you (such as acting and talking as if you have no issues in this regard).

You must be especially aware that the more you think of your condition, talk about it, worry about it, focus upon it, read about it, seek help over it (to a degree), the worse it will be. This might seem like a very challenging task, and of course I do not expect you to forget you have the condition. You will still be aware of it, and you will still be concerned, that’s normal, but you mustn’t go around telling people about it, etc... Just do your best to ignore it (and really get excited about, and focus upon, any tiny improvements you notice – this you can talk about a lot if you like!), and when you can’t, fine, at least you will have done your best, which I believe will be enough.

Don’t, in a week or two, worry or wonder about results, or wonder if you are “doing it right,” or conclude that it just isn’t helping!!! Just keep on keeping on until you have your desired results.
