What of men with bombs and murderous hearts?
Q: Mike, in a recent NOTE you said:
"Just as you may now think, with some amusement, about prior
civilizations who thought your earth was flat, there will be others, in
the not too distant future, who will reel in disbelief that there was
ever a time when abundance wasn't seen as spiritual, where a dream's
manifestation wasn't considered inevitable, and that there were
multitudes who knew so little of their importance, their power, and of
how deeply they were loved."
However, at the risk of being called cynical
& with all due respect, [what of] the
multitudes being slaughtered and the children
maimed around the world
for the greed & satisfaction of men
with bombs & murderous hearts? What of their
power & importance & how deeply are they
loved!?
A: Not to sound condescending, but I think that you could have only asked
your question if you didn’t believe that those men you ask of weren’t
also GOD. If you didn’t believe they were doing their best, however
misguided, in a world that absolutely terrified them.
If you didn’t
believe that further, endless adventures didn’t await us all.
If you
didn’t believe that everyone now alive chose to live
at this extremely primitive juncture, fully aware of its inherent
“risks”. And if you didn’t
also believe that what the physical senses show
is mere illusion.
Yes, in the dream of life greed exists, people suffer unimaginably, and
at times it seems chaos reigns, yet at the very same time, in the very
same dream, charity, divine grace, and perfect order are what set the
stage, they are what gives those other terms meaning, and they remain
infinitely more prevalent. While in the greater reality, from which this
dream emerged and to where we’ll all return, nothing is ever lost and no
one is ever hurt, though the lessons, laughter and love experienced
here, will indeed make us richer there.
So,
yes, I believe they
too are all-powerful, all-important, and
unfathomably loved, in spite of their confusion.
