Why haven't I won
the lottery? Q: Dear Mike - I still can't figure out which
belief is preventing me from living my dream of hitting the lottery big
time. I know that I am meant to live a life of abundance and ease. I don't
know what is interfering with my realization of that life. I am already
very grateful in divine mind for the life I live in my imagination but
want to live it and share it with those who are not living in my
imagination but on the outside. I am pitching this to you soft and slow
for you to knock it out of the park. Thanks for your help.
A: First off, what is it you're really after, wealth
and abundance, or winning the lottery? It's wealth and abundance. The
lottery is just a cursed how. Never mess with the "cursed
how's"!
Once you've broadly defined what you're after, in this case wealth and
abundance, and you've done all the visualizing and scrap booking and
thanking that is appropriate... then get out into the world and do all you
can, with what you've got, from where you are; not to hit the home run,
but to repeatedly pitch the ball to the Universe so that She can hit your
home run. Don't freak out or stress over your pitches, the Universe can
pick up the slack, just do you best with everything you involve yourself
in.
Until you are walking on water, then you are still believing heavily in
the limits of time and space. And with such a perspective, it's silly to
be upset that you cannot literally pull rabbits out of hats, or gold coins
from your empty pockets (or deliberate win the lottery). Therefore, by
doing all you can, with what you've got, from where you are, you are
increasing, exponentially, the chances you and the Universe will have to
circumvent your limiting beliefs and deliver your abundance.
By all means, keep playing the lottery (not throwing all your money at it,
because that would just demonstrate fear and a belief in poor odds), one
ticket per week is enough. But then do all the other things that come to
mind as well (start a business, get into sales, write a book, invent a
gadget, create a service, anything and everything that appeals to you and
that you feel might open a door to abundance).
Then, not only will your "busy-ness" inevitably create a vehicle
for abundance to come into your life, but far better than that, it will
get you so involved with life that the wealth angle will become less
important to you than it now is (partly because you'll already have it),
and new experiences, adventures, and priorities will be drawn to your
attention).
