Jambo Fellow Adventurer!

Passport up-to-date? Got empty pages in it? You’re going to need four of them on this first-ever, Iberian/African WOW Tour adventure to Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco and Portugal! But don’t worry about an exhaustive travel schedule: we’ll do this while staying between just two fabulous hotels, taking day trips to Tangiers and Gibraltar! Our itinerary has been masterfully tailored to cities I’ve heard of most of my life and have long wanted to see. This is one of those trips I simply can’t wait to take.

“Traveling—it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.”
― Ibn Battuta, The Travels of Ibn Battutah

This is going to be our 27th tour. We’ve already traveled to every corner of the world, in both hemispheres, yet there’s still so much more to see. And on this trip there’ll be adventure, stunning cuisine, exotic locales, ancient cities, inspiring talks, private one-on-one chats with me (time permitting, and it always has), tuk-tuk rides, breathtaking vistas, different UNESCO World Heritage cities, and best of all, new friends from around the world.

None of us self-proclaimed Globe TUTTERS are into the idea of “group travel” – the whole notion speaks of compromise, routine, and boredom – hardly adjectives for the life adventurers we are! Yet something magical happens when like-minded thinkers explore with open hearts and minds. As was recently shared by an attendee, “I’ve done group travel before, when there were few alternatives, and while I enjoyed the people, the conversations could only go so far...” Whoa, this does NOT happen on our trips! Everyone is fully versed in spiritual-ese, personal responsibility, and the power we have to live our dreams. Dreams and challenges are shared, illumination is sparked, and lives are changed. On every trip we’ve ever taken, friendships are made and kept long after we return home.

Travel, alone, is mind-expanding and invigorating, but when you add to the mix fantastic itineraries in exotic locales, great conversations, and super-cool people... NOTHING ELSE COMPARES! Obviously, I’ve been on every one of our WOW Tours, and they’ve quickly become the highlights of my year. During each trip I have this feeling, “YES!! This is it!! Life is so awesome!! I HAVE TO SPREAD THE WORD to all our fellow TUTTERS how truly incredible these adventures are.” But don’t just take my word for it, see what attendees have said! Many TUTTERS have joined us on multiple trips. In fact, sometimes +30% of our travelers are “repeaters.”

Be warned, however, there’s invariably sadness when it comes time to say our goodbyes, and I’m not the only one with a tear in my eye. Happily, there are no goodbyes without reunions, no endings without beginnings, and Iberia/Africa are calling….

Yours in the adventure,

P.S. We don’t host these trips for the small margins involved, we host them because of the FUN we have. Group sizes typically range from 50-100 people, but there’s no limit either way. Always, the right people show up for each trip!

Adventure Highlights

We've discovered that one of the best things about these trips is the candidness and connection shared by the group. This is an opportunity for adventurers, like-minded thinkers from around the world, to join together and share the experience of a lifetime. The focus of these adventures is not on Mike, but rather on OURSELVES, our group dynamic, and the adventure at hand. For us, the most important thing is to achieve a sense of comfort from day one; to learn, explore, and discover together. Mike's casual, unplugged workshops will follow suit. We'll start by following a schedule, but if we get inspired or feel pulled in other directions, so be it! Here's some of what we have to look forward to together over the course of this great adventure:

  • 9 days (7 hotel nights) between Spain, Gibraltar, Morocco, and Portugal (see cities below in the itinerary).
  • Luxurious 5 star accommodations at Hotel Puente Romano Beach Resort and Olissippo Lapa Palace (details below).
  • Daily talks with Mike and Andy Dooley about life, dreams, happiness, and the nature of reality.
  • Time for Q&A following each talk to address your specific questions, concerns, dreams, and challenges.
  • Private one-on-one time with Mike Dooley and Andy Dooley, time permitting.
  • A guided tour of Gibraltar, with scenic stops to see the dramatic natural grotto of St. Michael’s Cave and the Barbary macaques at Ape’s Den.
  • A panoramic overview tour of Tangier and visit to the “old city” of medina, a distinct walled area with narrow streets and open-air marketplaces.
  • A Tuk Tuk tour in Lisbon through Belém and some of the oldest districts of the capital, visiting historical areas and learning about its cultural heritage.
  • A visit to the picturesque town of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site, including the Regaleira Palace in the historic village center.
  • A visit to the storied city of Évora, another UNESCO World Heritage site, still partially enclosed by medieval walls, with a large number of monuments and temples.

Participate in daily workshops

One of the highlights of our trips are the daily unplugged mini-workshops with Mike Dooley and TUTTERS about life, dreams, happiness, and the nature of reality. In addition to these mini-workshops, you’ll receive a professionally bound "Best of My Life" Passport! Your Passport will culminate in your creation of a customized Manifestation Action Plan (MAP) that will give you guidance and direction for creating consciously beyond our trip. You'll also learn the key points from Mike Dooley’s present touring material, Playing the Matrix, and from Andy Dooley’s touring material, Vibration Activation.

Adventure with like-minded thinkers

Our trips are known for the friendships that are made! None of us self-proclaimed TUTTERS are into the idea of "group travel" – the whole notion speaks of compromise, routine and boredom, hardly adjectives for the life adventurers that we are! Yet something magical happens when like-minded thinkers embark on these trips. Everyone is fully versed in spiritual thinking, personal responsibility, and creating our own realities. Dreams and challenges are shared, illumination is sparked and lives are changed.

Talk one-on-one with Mike

On every trip we take, Mike is a part of the adventure in every way that you are. Whether we’re climbing a mountain, or riding a bus, or eating at a local restaurant, or passing out school supplies to children, Mike is there to facilitate and lead us in the adventure, along with his brother Andy, and our travel agent Christopher. There will be time to talk one-on-one with Mike and Andy, and there will also be time during group workshops to share and ask questions.

TODAY WE DEPART FOR SPAIN!

If you are one of the FIESTA DEL SOL travelers joining us on the group flight, we will meet at Newark Liberty International Airport. Our overnight flight lands in Malaga mid-morning to mid-afternoon on April 7th, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the inflight amenities onboard the aircraft.

DAY 2: Sunday, April 7, 2019

ARRIVE IN MALAGA

Once our plane arrives at the Malaga-Costa del Sol Airport, we will be met with a warm welcome and directed to our transportation, which will take us to the luxurious Hotel Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa.

We will enjoy a light lunch together at the hotel followed by our first TUT Talk. The rest of the afternoon is free to settle in before this evening’s Welcome Fiesta at the resort.

Accommodations: Hotel Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa (Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 3: Monday, April 8, 2019

GIBRALTAR

Meet us for breakfast and a TUT Talk before today’s adventure begins.

Together we will take a scenic ride along the coast and approach the border to Gibraltar. Here we will exit the motor-coach and walk through passport control. Once on the other side, we will board another small coach for a guided tour through this incredible British province with scenic stops that include the dramatic natural grotto of St. Michael’s Cave and the famous home to the Barbary macaques at Ape’s Den. You will soon discover that Gibraltar packs an incredible amount of history and scenery into her tiny footprint.

Following the tour, there is free time for eating, strolling, and shopping along Main Street before heading back across the border to Spain.

After a memorable day in Gibraltar, a banquet of Andalusian delicacies is brought before us in the true spirit of Spanish hospitality. Color, romance, and passion fill the night air!

Accommodations: Hotel Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 4: Tuesday, April 9, 2019

TANGIER

Exotic Africa awaits us as we journey across the Strait of Gibraltar to another culture. Expert Moroccan guides greet and welcome us to Morocco, and then accompany us on a panoramic overview tour of this historic city and its culture. Who knows — you may see a camel or two on your way to the medina (aka: “the old city”), which is a distinct section typically walled with narrow streets and open-air marketplaces called souks that are tightly packed together and create a multitude of labyrinthine alleyways, which lead to fountains, palaces, and public infrastructures.

After lunch together, there will be time for shopping the wares of local craftsmen in some of the well-established stores before returning to Marbella.

Tonight will be dedicated to the simple pleasures of dining out and the culture of sobremesa (after dinner table talk). Venture to Puerto Banus with some friends for tapas, drinks, and panoramic views of the luxury yachts dotting the Mediterranean Sea. Or enjoy dinner at the restaurant of your choice in Marbella.

Accommodations: Hotel Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa (Breakfast & Lunch)

DAY 5: Wednesday, April 10, 2019

COSTA DEL SOL

Start the day with breakfast and a TUT Talk.

Afterwards, there is time to explore the hotel amenities or opt for your own day trip to discover the rich history and culture of local areas like Marbella, Ronda, and Mijas.

This evening we will gather together to share stories of the day’s adventures and revel in our last few moments in Spain with dinner at the resort. ¡Adios España!

Accommodations: Hotel Puente Romano Beach Resort & Spa (Breakfast & Dinner)

DAY 6: Thursday, April 11, 2019

SPAIN TO PORTUGAL

There is time for breakfast and a TUT Talk before we head to the airport and board our flight to Portugal. We land in Lisbon around mid-day and make our way from the airport to a unique spot for lunch, followed by a Tuk Tuk tour.

Our trusty Tuk Tuk guides will take us through the monumental zone of Belém and some of the oldest districts of the capital, visiting historical and charismatic areas while passing monuments and introducing us to its cultural heritage.

The sights and sounds of Lisbon carry us to the stunning setting of Olissippo Lapa Palace where we are graciously ushered in for check-in. Dinner at this prestigious address gives us a chance to unwind from our travels and indulge in a selection of authentic dishes brought before us.

Accommodations: Olissippo Lapa Palace (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 7: Friday, April 12, 2019

SINTRA

After breakfast and a TUT Talk we set out to explore the alluring city of Sintra.

Enchanted palaces, regal estates, historical fortifications, and enigmatic pathways occupy the rolling hilltops of this picturesque town, which has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We meander our way to the historic village center where we will have a chance to visit the vast estate of Regaleira Palace. We will roam the turreted towers, labyrinthic grottos, lavish gardens, and underground walkways that link to the Initiation Wells and waterfall before stopping for lunch.

We return to the Olissippo Lapa Palace in plenty of time to relax before making dinner plans for this evening. Dine in at the Lapa Restaurant or explore the flavors of Lisbon with some friends.

Accommodations: Olissippo Lapa Palace (Breakfast, Lunch)

DAY 8: Saturday, April 13, 2019

ÉVORA

An inspiring TUT Talk over breakfast prepares us for another exciting day of exploration in the storied city of Évora.

Due to its well-preserved old town center, still partially enclosed by medieval walls, and a large number of monuments and temples dating from various historical periods — It is no wonder why this historic village has also been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also located in the municipality of Évora is The Cromlech of the Almendres, a megalithic complex that consists of cromlechs and menhir stones that dates back to the 6th Millennium B.C. When the time is right, we will stop for lunch in a quiet and refined setting overlooking the Alentejo Mountain.

Dinner this evening will be a celebration set in the old kitchen of the Palace of Queluz. The exquisite Portuguese gastronomy and music will make for the perfect culmination of our time together on TUT’s FIESTA DEL SOL trip!

Accommodations: Olissippo Lapa Palace (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

DAY 9: Sunday, April 14, 2019

TCHAU! GOODBYE LISBON

After breakfast, we’ll transfer to the airport for our group flight to Newark and connecting flights home.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

BenchMark Travel Services strongly recommends the purchase of Travel Guard travel insurance* before any TUT trip! Travel insurance offers travelers coverage for unforeseen problems, from a cancelled flight to a serious illness—or in rare cases, even an act of terrorism or the financial default of a travel supplier. If you miss a travel connection, even for reasons beyond your control, you are NOT necessarily protected from financial loss unless you have travel insurance. For example, if you encounter mechanical problems, flight delays, or inclement weather that causes you to miss connections, the airline carrier might re-book you, although in many cases (such as bad weather) it is NOT guaranteed (in which case you may either have to purchase an entirely new round-trip ticket or forego the entire prepaid trip without any reimbursement). Travel insurance can cover new flights or provide trip cancellation coverage (for a covered loss), as well as emergency medical expenses and medical transportation. Travel insurance also provides 24 hour "911" emergency travel service, in case a traveler has to change a flight or a hotel room, in addition to assistance with emergency cash transfers, lost baggage, and pre-trip consultation services (travel advisories, passport requirements, inoculation information, etc.).

*Please note that Travel Guard insurance is only available to U.S. and Canadian residents at this time. If you live elsewhere, please check for such coverage within your home country from independent providers.

HOW TO PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE: You can obtain travel insurance from Travel Guard International. You have two options to purchase travel insurance: 1. U.S. and Canadian residents may call Travel Guard directly at 1-800-826-1300. 2. Visit Travel Guard’s website at www.travelguard.com to process the insurance yourself. In this case you will be asked for a travel agent code, please give Travel Guard the code 22735731 as this code will identify your booking with BenchMark Travel Services. Please be sure to read all policy information thoroughly.
